Additional Services Available
Available for Analogue, ISDN 2e and ISDN 3e lines from Positive Communications.
Direct Dial Inward (DDI) enables callers to dial an extension directly, instead
of being transferred by an operator. (ISDN 2e/ISDN 30e only)
Call Divert diverts calls on Busy or No reply to an alternative call handler,
ensuring you never miss a call or business opportunity it represents.
Calling Line Identity Presentation (CLIP) displays the number of the calling
party to enable a return call (for national and international numbers) (ISDN
2e/ISDN 30e only)
Calling Line Identity Restriction (CLIR) prevents presentation of the caller’s
number and sub-address to the called party. (ISDN 2e/ISDN 30e only)
Call Barring enables you to restrict calls to defned number types, such as
expensive premium rate or international services.
Sub-Addressing enables expansion of your number beyond the ISDN number so that
different computer databases can be assigned individual addresses. This means
incoming data calls connect only to the information they need, providing control
and security. (ISDN 2e/ISDN 30e only)
Connected Line Identity Presentation (COLP) allows you to confirm that the number
you have dialled is the number you are connected to and that you have not been
forwarded to another location. Activation/deactivation of this facility is not
available on a per call basis. (ISDN 2e/ISDN 30e only)
Call Deflection (CD) allows you to respond to an incoming voice or data call by
deflecting the call to another number without answering it. The "forwarded to"
number must be able to accept the calls, for voice calls any normal number that
accepts incoming calls (such as a mobile phone or analogue exchange line) can
take the call. The ability to use this service is dependent upon your equipment.
You can control the criteria that determines which calls are forwarded, for
example on the basis of who the call is from, who it is made to, the call type
etc
Caller Redirect is a service provided at the End User's local exchange that
informs incoming callers of the called party's new telephone number. When an End
User ceases service and takes up service elsewhere, or has a line renumbered,
Caller Redirect will refer callers to the new number (the caller is not charged
for the call)
